Vibration(Sinusoidal) /Broadband Test

This test is intended to identify any mechanical defects and/or degradation of the specimens’ specified performance. Using this data in conjunction with the applicable specification, the specimens’ acceptability will be determined. The test method is sometimes used to demonstrate the mechanical strength of specimens and/or to examine their dynamic behavior. Component categorization can also be done by choosing severity from the list provided in the test.

Sinusoidal Vibration Test:

  • sinusoidal vibration for the assessment of a device or component’s ability to withstand vibration stresses.
  • It outlines procedures for subjecting devices to sinusoidal vibration in one or more axes, at specified frequencies and amplitudes.
  • It’s often used to determine resonant frequencies, structural weaknesses, and the response of equipment to specific frequencies.

IEC BS EN 60068-2-6 is a standard that specifies test methods and test severities for Sinusoidal Vibration testing. We at ARRAA Labs provide testing services in accordance with IEC 60068-2-6:2007, EN/BS EN 60068-2-6:2008, and IS/IEC 60068 Part 2 Sec 6:2007. The test capabilities include a force capacity of 2000 kgf, a frequency range of 1 Hz to 2000 Hz (up to 3000 Hz), and a maximum acceleration of 500 m/s².

Broadband Vibration Test:

  • broadband random or non-sinusoidal vibration to evaluate the robustness and performance of equipment or devices.
  • It includes methods for subjecting devices to a wider range of frequencies simultaneously or sequentially within a defined frequency band.

IEC BS EN IEC 60068-2-64 is a standard that specifies test methods and test severities for Broad-band Random Vibration testing. We at ARRAA Labs provide testing services in accordance with IEC 60068-2-64:2019 and EN/BS EN 60068-2-64:2008+A1:2019. The test capabilities include a force capacity of 2000 kgf, a frequency range of 1 Hz to 2000 Hz (up to 3000 Hz), and a maximum acceleration of 280 m/s².
